T.I. REAL Music; REAL Soul

For the most part, I ended my love affair with Hip Hop years ago because the ART has turned into a joke. There are a few Hip Hop Artists left that I support but as a whole, Hip Hop is in a dark hole waiting to be revived.
Today's  REAL music ARTIST is: T.I. Yes he's had a few strokes of bad luck but I believe he has learned from his mistakes and will not repeat them. T.I's music is soul stirring and he has inspired me to keep going during some of the toughest times in my life. I admire how he has grown over the years which is evident in this new post on his website: http://www.trapmuzik.com/news/5ba2b4-message-from-ti/

I am anxiously awaiting T.I.'s homecoming because I know he has so much more to share.

Back to Basics

Music has always been an intricate part of my very being. I was born into a Jazz family and fell in love with live music at a very young age. I’ve been blessed with an uncanny ear for GREAT music so I’ve decided to share my thoughts here and I hope you will too. Together we can support the people who work so hard to bring us music that captures our soul.

I’m so over synthesized music! As an example, I appreciate Lil Wayne’s doing his best to re-introduce a live band during his stage performances. Lil Wayne’s passion for music is evident by the way he touches various genres and achieves success each time. It’s awesome to see an artist who does not limit himself; one who seems to have a true appreciation for music as an art.

During the past two months I have been exposed to GREAT music written, produced and performed by artist unknown to most; REAL artists creating REAL music. It’s such a shame that many people are settling for “cookie cutter” music styles instead of demanding REAL music.

Effective immediately I am a “music snob”; I will not support artists who continue to give us “cookie cutter”/commercialized music. Celebrities can be so critical of others therefore it is time we demand more from them; give me GREAT music or I will take my support and money elsewhere!

Jazz selection elegant and slow from one of my favorite artists John Coltrane with Duke Ellington "In a Sentimental Mood"

Also something for my Hip Hop heads Eric B & Rakim classic Hip Hop. Listen with your ears; Rakim has a flow unsurpassed by anyone past or present. "Check Out My Melody"

Please share your thoughts.
