Music and Trey Songz who moves me from the inside out!

I just had to piggyback on Ms. SNS post about Trey. All who know me know I am definitely a fan of Trey Songz, and although I wish I could get to know the soul clock that makes Tremaine Neverson  tick I can settle for the sound of his voice and what it does to me.  His music transports me to those moments we lose after love goes wrong (Unfortunate), his songs that I have well you know done grown women things to and remember those butterfly stomach induced moments where passion meets love Yo side of the bed). Granted he still has a ways to go because maturity is a continued effort but where we are right here, right now is working for me and where I am. He went from just got to make it, to the neighbors knowing his name to realizing they should have never done it lol I am a fool but so what. BTW Anticipation best mixtape ever, yeah I said it now who gone pop me lol.

MS.SNS I told you not to sleep on Trey ,but with the lack of  real music and the abundance of parking lot pimping, pants hanging low celebrating and loud bass over nothing lyrics I can understand her skepticism. However Trey has a voice of a Casanova who could undoubtedly sing you out of your Vickie Secrets, Frederick's of Hollywood, and Hanes brands respectively honey. The croon, the pitch, the hint of softness cloaked in masculinity is what his voice is made of. I guess it helps that he is a sexy black man. My nightly listens solidify the talent I believe he possesses. How many artists are out right now that you can listen to their music on repeat? Forgive me as I pause to fan myself...... lol but seriously in a time when we celebrate one hit wonders with nothing to say and depend on them to carry us through economic strugglesto bring us back to the love and just plain feel good music we have to hold onto the little that we do have; less criticism and more appreciation.
People complain about him copying R. Kelly's style whom I am no big fan of but I give him credit for his talent but seriously see him for the man that he is or miss the talent he was blessed with.

If he continues on his grind, he has the opportunity to work with great people, accepts constructive criticism and studies the art he will have a successful career as long as he does it for the people and stays true to the man Ms. April raised him to be. By the way I watched his show on BET and when Ms. April said she never met a man until she raised her son or was it until she had her son either way I was touched beyond words. Tears trickled down my cheeks and I just prayed that I will say the same about my little mister.

I do not know if I ever fell in love with Hip Hop but I definitely fell in love with music no matter what the genre. Hell, I listen to EVERYTHING. We have to broaden our horizons beyond what we are used to. Let us cultivate the talent these kids have and make them great not mainstream. Let us hope Trey stays true to the art and can be an example for others to follow.

And lastly can I tell you dude is just as fly in person well a hundred feet away damn lil girls fighting and crap like he into lil girls. This is a grown as man we chatting bout.  smh I took my neice to his album signing in Bmore and it was insanity they shut it down. I snapped a pic and was like hmmm yeah okay. She was glad to get a glimpse so it was all good.

Ciao h&k (hugs and kisses what I'm affectionate) Ms. Nyki
